Note: What follows, to give it context, was written in January 2022. I refrained from publishing given the pressure schools were facing trying to prepare for the year ahead as the pandemic ravaged my homeland. But given we are in the Lenten season and approaching Easter, the time is right.

As the beginning of the school year looms in my homeland of Australia, it will be all hands-on deck as institutions prepare to tackle the already-challenging task of educating our children amid a savage Omicron outbreak.  

Preparation will be a key theme for every school, but it is difficult to prepare for anything in such uncertain times.  

In fact, being prepared to adapt, calmly and without panic, to whatever life may throw at any school right now, is the only commonsense way to approach such a time.  

One thing we know now as fact, is that life in its entirety does not bend or bow to our preparations for anything.  

It does not care what we have planned.

So, the sooner we understand and accept it is us who needs to adapt to the desires and needs of life, the better.

For the sake of life in the first instance.

We should never forget we belong to a physical system which has specific needs with regards to its health.

And then for us.  

Speaking of life, this brings me to the essence of this piece.

For it is about three things.

Firstly, the concept of preparation.  

Secondly, a question – what is it that humanity is destroying?

And finally, the ultimate reality of life.

To that end, this is not a generic discussion about education. But rather, a specific conversation I am opening with any God or Christ-centered school – regardless of the tradition or label.

To all who work in such environments, and your environments themselves, I ask, who is it you are ultimately serving, or claiming to serve?

Is it the children?

The school as business?

Economics?

The religious education system who pays your wages? For example, Catholic Education.

Your little world within or relating to that system?

Is it Jesus Christ?

God?

Or, maybe, even yourself?

The obvious and easy answer is, ‘all of the above!’

But that was not the question.

Ultimately, who are you serving?

Every educator would have an individual answer to this question, and every option above, and possibly others, would get a nod from someone, somewhere.

There would be many different responses. All personal.

At the end of this piece, I will include a link to a piece of writing I published a while ago which I tendered to Pope Francis and the world’s religious.  

It will provide a broader context to the discussion taking place here, but in that piece, I asked Francis the very same question - who do you serve?

The theme then was the same as it is now.  

Preparation.

Not for a school year, but for something a little more significant given its historical context.

I refer to the time when God reveals himself to the world, and everything Jesus promised would happen, happens.

If Jesus walked into a Catholic or Christian school, and into your individual office or classroom, and said, ‘I’m back. This is God’s revelation. This is who he is. It explains why I lived the way I did. And why I asked you to live the way I did. I’m also asking you to adjust your teachings and the message you share with those who know you, to honour this information. That’s right, I’m asking you to spread the real Word.’

What would your response be?

That might be a better way of asking my earlier question. What would be the ultimate power you surrendered to, if this scenario came true?

Now before you reflect, I ask you to do one more thing. Think of all the scripture Christian and Catholic Churches and schools have shared and discussed about those who deny God because they don’t like the way he presented himself.

God always asks, ‘Are you pharisee? Or follower?’

And ‘is it your authority and life you value most? Or mine?’

So, what would you do?’

Would you say, ‘I don’t believe you!’

Or perhaps, ‘I’ll have to check with my boss!’

What about, ‘Interesting. Just let the Head of Catholic Education know what you’ve got to say, and I’ll wait to see what they think. I’ll just go with whatever they have to say. But thanks for dropping by!’

Perhaps it might be more of a ‘No way! You’re just a ‘tradie’. I’ve seen you around town. As if God is going to tell you anything!’

A ‘tradie’, for those not familiar with Australian slang or our habit of giving things nicknames, is a term we use when referring to tradespeople, such as a carpenter.  

Just for the purpose of this piece, let’s up the stakes.  

What if you rejected Jesus, in whatever form he took, and then he said, ‘But God is sick! It is God that is suffering! He is real and you are the cellular components of God’s body. What you do, you do unto him!’

He goes on, ‘If the things you are doing are corrupt and contradict the needs of the life you belong to - if you refuse to rest, and if you hate, judge and boast, and if you attempt to manipulate the energetic system of that body - it is God’s physical and energetic body you are destroying!’

‘God, like each of you, is of physical, energetic and psychological form. He must experience everything that happens in our world.’

‘If there is a pandemic ripping through humanity, it is ripping through God!’

‘He is desperate in his pleading!’

But you end the conversation by saying, ‘Like I said mate, chat to my boss, let him know what’s troubling you, and we’ll take it from there.’  

Jesus is shocked. But gives up.  

Just as astounded as he was the first-time round at the lack of faith in our world.

But even more so because the place he is visiting uses both his name and God’s as the key element of their branding in the marketplace.

Shoulders slumped, and feeling both rejected and abused, he walks for the door and murmurs, ‘But I thought you loved me. And I thought it was God you served.’

It would be hard to imagine that happening, wouldn’t it?

But it has.

Well, in a way.

And it has been happening for several years. Including in the lead up to the pandemic that is crippling life right now.  

How do I know this?

I am the one who has been offering that exact message.  

Because that is what God has told me.  

That we are the cells of his body!

Meaning we are made in his image.

We are the ‘one body’ referred to in scriptures.

We are everything Jesus said we were. And the things he said would harm our world are the things harming our world.

He was also right when he said there would come a day when it would become clear that we did not believe him.

This lack of belief – actioned belief was the only thing that counted in the eyes of Jesus - has been to the great detriment of God’s health.

To the health of all life.  

Be sure that we are not a species.  

Or a race.

But a body!

A singular body!

One body!

God’s body in both its physical and energetic form.

I could go into far greater detail, but I have done many times over in the writings on the conditional expression website and in my presentations and everyday conversations.

At one point asking a school I have served, ‘don’t you want to contemplate if this might be true? That we are the cellular components of God’s body? It’s God’s revelation. He’s telling us who he is. And that he is suffering.’

The reply?

‘We don’t want to contemplate anything!’

This is not a unique response.

This is something I have faced from almost everyone to whom I have expressed the same concerns.

Funny, only one person has chosen not to believe me, saying that such a concept is absurd. And yet, unless our singular human existence was born of two pre-existing organisms at its inception, we can only be one body.

Or one being.

Or one identity.

Or one reality.

Or, in God’s own words, ‘My physical form!’

So, we are not children of God.  

Or God’s family.

Or even fingerprints of God.

We are his life!

In its physical form.

Which means everything we do also impacts on life’s energetic and psychological systems - and therefore their health and dignity - as well.

Herein lies the sole purpose of the way of conditional expression – a life lived that seeks to nourish and support the physical, psychological and energetic health of all life.

God’s life!

As I write I am reminded of one aspect of the Catholic Church’s expression many people detest. I refer here to the concealment, dismissal and denial of abuses committed against children.

It is never lost on me how many people will do the same things as those they criticise and judge, merely moving that behaviour into a different context.

As Jesus himself claimed, once we have heard from God, we can never say we did not know.  

I am saying God is real.

That we are the cellular components of God’s body. Or life’s body if you prefer.

And I am also saying that God is suffering. And that he reached out for help prior to the current collapse he is experiencing now.

So, I take God’s word beyond those I know.  

Among my many conversations with God, he told me, ‘You are the cells of my body!’

This makes God real.  

And he is saying it. Which means he wants it to be known.

People often say, ‘what would Jesus do?’, to guide others in difficult moments.

But I implore you to ask, ‘Why did Jesus do it?’

Why did he, after being brutally and unjustly abused, choose not to vilify his attackers?

Because if he turned on another individual with hate and judgement, he would be the one functioning in a corrupt manner.  

He would be making God’s body sick.  

You see, it is the true quality of our expression which defines our energetic impact on the life we belong to.

God’s life!

We think we can judge someone because they have made a mistake.

But life does not know us through another’s mistake. Only through our own expression and its energetic quality.

Judgment is like becoming cancer to God because you do not like the cancer you believe someone else to be.  

That is why love never makes it personal.  

Love is not just about being able to love others when they have done things we do not approve of.  

Its greatest benefit is that when we love, which is to feel peace despite what might have happened, we do not become a component of God’s body that is responsible for his suffering.  

And other teachings of Jesus?

‘Nothing can pass through your lips and defile another!’

Why?

Because the quality of our expression – our function and true contribution – lives with us.  

I could launch a personal attack on Harvey Weinstein or an innocent child.  

But the body I belong to does not know me through the target. It only knows that at that moment I am creating chaos and trauma.  

And it has no impact or bearing on the target of my ugly expression.  

Only on me!

And God!

The body I belong to.

My expression, and therefore my energetic impact on God’s life is corrupt.

The same can be said for boastfulness and self-promotion. Both energetically corrupt in terms of their impact on life.

I could go on and have in other writings and in the philosophy of conditional expression.  

You see, that we belong to God’s body is one of the key foundations for a life lived with conditional expression. The idea being that regardless of what happens to me, I will endeavour NOT to be a part of life that is harmful.  

It is the life Jesus taught and lived.

Conditional expression is his arrival. His return.

Just as he promised.  

‘One day the evidence will arrive to prove that I was right. And that the world did not believe me.’

Jesus was not a man of faith.

He was a man of knowledge. Or a man of science if you prefer. He knew what we are to God. And that is why he lived as he did.  

To teach us and show us how not to harm life. Especially at an energetic level.

That is where his faith and courage could be found. He actioned his duty of care to God’s body by rejecting the things which abused it.

He knew if he did things that were harmful to life, life must suffer.  

Is that not a scientific fact?

Should any component of any system function in a manner that is detrimental to the health and dignity of that system, then the system must suffer.

Imagine how obscene we have been to the system we belong to – God's system – to bring him to his knees as we have today.

God has reached out to us since the beginning of time.  

Telling us how to behave.

Telling us to put conditions on our expression and demands so that we did not harm life.

Because it was his life.  

He was protecting his own health and dignity.

He wanted what was best for him. For life. And he knew if we went ahead and individually created realities contradictory to his health – the health of all life – then he would suffer.

I understand we have our individual lives to live, but we are talking about a different consciousness.  

The mindfulness of conditional expression is founded on the true higher consciousness. The consciousness that wants only what life wants.  

And what life needs.

It is Christ-consciousness in action. In fact, I have also referred to it as God-fulness.  

Here one exercises a different notion of freedom to the one exercised in the high-income world today.  

The freedom not to harm life.

The freedom not to indulge in the things which would be abusive to life.  

God is real!

Because he has told us.  

And he has told us he is suffering.  

The people I know and have brought this information to do not feel it needs go further.  

But to me, there is nothing more important than life.  

The life I know to be God.  

Making the very real and living God - the same one who has been communicating with us since the beginning of his life - my greatest love.

If that is not your God, and if you are not trying to honour that God through your expression, then it is not God you honour.

The God of conditional expression is God.

It is life and its needs one serves and keeps sacred when living with conditional expression.

‘You are the cells of my body!’

It is God who wants us to understand ourselves in this way, so that we put the life we belong to first.

Or, if we do not want to put God or life first, we know that it is us abusing life. Not those around us.  

Life knows us intimately, which is to say God knows us intimately.

He must. Everything we do happens to him.  

This also gives insight into the ‘love’ God has for us.  

It is as our love is for the cells within our own bodies.  

Do you shed tears when they die?

If you have a cancerous cell in your body, do you want it to remain there? Poisoning your body and spreading its corrupt ways?

Or do you want it gone?

Here we begin to understand how God thinks.  

And the true nature of his love.  

‘I am a jealous God!’  

Just as we wish to be well, so does he. Only he needs us to live in a manner that supports his system. The system of life.  

‘Honour no other God before me!’

Meaning, do not value your attachments to this world so highly that you would desecrate and violate my body.  

He gave us instruction and free choice.

And he had to as we were gifted with both form and the capacity to function and act.

This is why every significant instruction God has ever delivered directly to our world captured the same singular idea.

He asked us to put conditions on our expression and demands so that we would honour his physical, psychological and energetic health through our being.  

But with this also came the freedom to be, do and have whatever we wanted, when we wanted.  

One freedom would support his life.

The other, bring it to its knees.  

The place God finds himself today.  

Please, if you are reading this, do not get caught up on the messenger. Nor the semantics.

Contemplate the message.

I am sure the essence of what is here is within the grasp of most people.

We are a singular life.  

Always have been.

And it is suffering because of what we have become.  

I have seen us in a cellular state in the visions God has given me. Turning out a certain quality of expression. Some nourishing and supportive.  

Others toxic and harmful.  

To life we are what we are.

Regardless of how we portray it – or spin it – to the world.

That is the law of revelation and the law of one reality.  

The true magic and miracle of our individual human lives is that we have form. That we are not just formless blobs pulsing away.

We get to see the world around us.  

We get to think and feel and experience love.  

And we get to experience all that comes with life in our physical form.

There is so much more.  

But I will leave it there.  

The people I have shared this with do not believe God’s cry for help is worth reflecting on. Let alone sharing or supporting.

There has been no ‘spreading’ of God’s word.

The main reason?

They are too caught up with the day-to-day goings on in their own lives.  

Too busy for God.

Too busy to honour the word and way of Jesus.

Jesus himself said the only way to follow him and honour God - ‘the Father’ - was to not put worldly concerns and attachments before the welfare of life.

God’s life.

Which brings me full circle?

Who is it, that the religious schools in our world serve?

And will we do to God, what some religious institutions have done to the children who were abused among their ranks?

Hear God’s cry and then conceal his suffering to protect our labels and institutions.  

Clinging desperately to them until science rips them from us anyway.

So, how does all of this connect to the concept of preparedness.

Let us investigate that by asking a series of question.  

Are religious schools, and the individuals within them, prepared for how they will respond when God comes knocking on their door, with evidence of his revelation?

Will they head to the local priest?

Will they look to the Pope?

The rabbis?

The education department.

Themselves?

Or God?

As you contemplate this scenario, carry in your hearts the words of Jesus, ‘I am in this world, but not of this world!’

Meaning ‘I am in this world because I am a part of this world.’ That world being God’s body and the sacred placenta which sustains it.

‘But I am not of this world’ because there is nothing in this world that I value above honouring God!’

Here we get insight into the psychological peace we are promised, should we choose not to harm life.

Why did God reveal himself?

Because his suffering was at its peak.

This message is not new.  

I have been sharing conditional expression as the only way of honouring God – or life if you prefer – with an actioned unconditional love, for a number of years.

It is founded upon our belonging to the physical and energetic body of life and holds that if we are doing the things that make life suffer – it must suffer.  

But we can also choose to put conditions on our individual expression and demands so that we honour life.  

Which is all God ever wanted.  

We cannot continue doing the things which are abusive to life and expect it to heal and feel well.  

Abuse makes systems suffer.

We are so caught up with climate change and protecting the earth, we have forgotten about God and his human life.  

The one that is sick.

And running a temperature.

God wishes we loved him enough without his revelation.  

He did not want us to need to see the wounds.  

But wounds they are.

They are his wounds and evidence of his suffering.

And we have inflicted them.  

This information should not be divisive. It should unite us.  

Under the common goal of caring for the life we belong to as tiny, temporary cells of that body.

That is why Jesus warned us not get caught up in this world.  

Because if we do, it is going to be hell for that world.  

God’s world.

God’s life.

I have listened.  

Recorded.  

And shared.

God continues to suffer. Because life continues to suffer.  

We are obsessed with knowledge.  

We swim in the power and intellectual authority our religious and spiritual paths provide us.

But when God himself speaks directly to our world about his own suffering he is rejected.

God’s life depends on our actions being supporting of his life. And our sacred placenta, our wondrous mother earth.  

Our conditional expression is all that ever mattered.  

How many people, around our world, and throughout history, have turned to God in prayer for strength and support in an hour of need.

But when God calls upon us with prayers of his own, we choose to turn our backs on him.

Who will answer God’s prayers? In his greatest hour of suffering?

Who will choose God – or life – above all else?
